Setting Forth
The Avenger thus raised a great army from among his paladins and champions. (Annals of Light 4.2.2)
Thus did Corean’s Army of Light set out upon the face of Scarn. (Annals of Light 4.2.5)
Invoking Corean
He will give a longing for justice to their judges.
He will give great courage to the warriors who stand at the gate. (Isaiah 28:6)
And when my sword has finished its work in the heavens,
It will fall upon the nation I have marked for destruction.
The sword of the LORD is drenched with blood and covered with fat—
With the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of rams prepared for sacrifice.
Even men as strong as wild oxen will die—
The young men alongside the veterans.
The land will be soaked with blood and the soil enriched with fat. (Isaiah 34:5-7)
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
And young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)
With his sword, he reduces armies to dust.
With his bow, he scatters them like chaff before the wind.
He chases them away and goes on safely,
Though he is walking over unfamiliar ground. (Isaiah 41:2-3)
He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.
So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm,
And his justice sustained him.
He put on righteousness as his body armor
And placed the helmet of salvation on his head.
He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance
And wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion.
He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds.
His fury will fall on his foes.
He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth.
In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD;
In the east, they will glorify him
For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD. (Isaiah 59:16-19)
Everyone will see the LORD’s hand of blessing on his servants—
And his anger against his enemies.
See, the LORD is coming with fire,
And his swift chariots roar like a whirlwind.
He will bring punishment with the fury of his anger
And the flaming fire of his hot rebuke.
The LORD will punish the world by fire and by his sword.
He will judge the earth, and many will be killed by him. (Isaiah 66:14-16)
But the LORD stands beside me like a great warrior
Before him my persecutors will stumble.
They cannot defeat me.
They will fail and be thoroughly humiliated.
Their dishonor will never be forgotten.
O LORD of Heaven’s Armies,
You test those who are righteous,
And you examine the deepest thoughts and secrets.
Let me see your vengeance against them,
For I have committed my cause to you. (Jeremiah 20:11-12)
His cry of judgment will reach the ends of the earth,
For the LORD will bring his case against all the nations.
He will judge all the people of the earth,
Slaughtering the wicked with the sword.
I, the LORD, have spoken! (Jeremiah 25:31)
“You are my battle-ax and sword,” says the LORD.
“With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms.
With you I will shatter armies—
Destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer. (Jeremiah 51:20-21)

Yes, I have called mighty warriors to express my anger,
And they will rejoice when I am exalted.” (Isaiah 13:2-3)
Listen! The armies of many nations roar like the roaring of the sea.
Hear the thunder of the mighty forces as they rush forward like thundering waves
But though they thunder like breakers on a beach, God will silence them, and they will run away.
They will flee like chaff scattered by the wind, like a tumbleweed whirling before a storm. (Isaiah 17:12-13)
But quick! Grab your shields and prepare for battle. You are being attacked! (Isaiah 21:5)

You will stumble along as prisoners or lie among the dead.
But even then the LORD’s anger will not be satisfied. His fist is poised to strike. (Isaiah 10:15)

My praises are for you alone! (Jeremiah 17:14)

Dying
I said, “In the prime of my life, must I now enter the place of the dead?
Am I to be robbed of the rest of my years?”
I said, “Never again will I see the LORD GOD while still in the land of the living
Never again will I see my friends or be with those who live in this world.
My life has been blown away like a shepherd’s tent in a storm.
It has been cut short, as when a weaver cuts cloth from a loom.
Suddenly, my life was over.
I waited patiently all night, but I was torn apart as though by lions.
Suddenly, my life was over.
Delirious, I chattered like a swallow or a crane,
And then I moaned like a mourning dove.
My eyes grew tired of looking to heaven for help.
I am in trouble, Lord. Help me!”
But what could I say? For he himself sent this sickness. (Isaiah 38:10-15

Covered with bruises, welts, and infected wounds-
Without any soothing ointments or bandages. (Isaiah 1:5-6)

Asked for mercy
But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. (Jeremiah 7:5-6, asked for mercy)
Loot/treasure
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. I have made it from beauty and light and hope-all things you have beaten out of your works, thrown aside as dross. And I have forged these things together with strength and justice and wisdom. And the alloy is stronger than anything you could ever make… This sword is stronger and sharper than anything made by you or your brothers. And its name is HONOR.” (Litany of Palash 14, 16)

Party is lost
This is what the LORD says:
“Stop at the crossroads and look around.
Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it.
Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.
But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’” (Jeremiah 6:16)

Covering them with clothes of mourning.” (Isaiah 50:3)
