2 Yawning Moon 881
The Bellringers awoke with dry mouths and foggy minds, surrounded by endless dried-mud walls; they were locked up, imprisoned in the complex known as Hades. They set about trying to escape. Zekkaus and Cress befriended Miranda M., a member of the Gentlemen. Kodachi spoke to a rat. Brook reunited with Jameson Blunt, who had taken a vow of tranquility. Acheron got sent to solitary for assaulting Jameson (as part of an agreement with the Gentlemen. Miranda has promised that some of the guards will turn their heads and perhaps provide favors to the Bellringers). Astrid, with a distraction from Kodachi, telekinetically stole a key from a guard. A lone member of the Grim Fandangos, El Chupacabra, revealed herself to be GIbbous, the sister of Cress. A deranged, feral looking man with one arm was tossed into the Glimpse, having served his time in Tartarus, and instantly threw himself at Carrigan.
Carrigan narrowly avoided a brawl with Garrison, a violent one-armed inmate. Cress caught up with her sister Gibbous, who described the current state of the Grim Fandangos and their allegiance to Calhoun. Klara approached Garrison and had a ‘conversation’ with him. Miranda M. hinted at a murky relationship with Calhoun. Night fell, and the Bellringers returned to their cells, and some nighttime chats were had. Somehow, Calhoun arrived, berating the gang as usual. The gang hurled insults, spells and bedpans at the Baron, which resulted in Brook and Cress being bound and gagged. The prison fell silent once again. As the full moon rose, Cress awoke in terror as a werejackal bit and clawed into her flesh. The gang awoke to her screams for help, and did what they could; Lotte melted locks with what little materials she could craft together, while Astrid hurled psychic blades into the werejackal’s mind. Carrigan broke his lock and charged into Cress’ cell, dragging the beast by its ankles and hurling it over the railing of the cellblock’s second floor. As the gang peered over the side, they saw, laying on the moonlit floor, the unconscious body of Klara.
