Lorien was the member of an adventuring party that came to Larondell to rid the town of the vampire inhabiting the castle that overlooks the town. After successfully defeating the vampire, the townspeople showed their gratitude by asking Lorien to take over as steward of the Larondell Temple of Tyr.
Lorien turned out the previous steward and acolytes that had occupied the temple in order to have more solitude. He claims he attempts to maintain the temple on his own, but struggles and the temple is slowly running down.
Lorien has some strange relationship with a lady named Jarus who claims to help in the temple, but to whom he appears subservient.
