Ghostly Spirit we met outside of Yesterhill.
A follower of the Seekers of the Fanes who lost his life when Strahd von Zarovich took over the land.

Kavan told us the following things:

• Barovia was once known as Cerunnos (from when the land was ruled by the Ladies Three) but was renamed Delmor when it was conquered by the Delmoreans, ruled by a cruel tyrant named King Dostron the Hellborn who ousted/hunted the native population of Crunnos. IT was renamed as Barovia, when Strahd and his army invaded and won.
• The druids ended up splitting, an internal schism splitting them during Strahd’s invasion. Half the druids have been in hiding since, in the Svalich woods, while the other half - bitter from the oppression by the Delmoreans, guided Strahd to their most holy places in hopes that he would be able to defeat the Hellborn.
• During this time, unwilling to side with Strahd and with dwindling numbers, the warrior tribes who follow the Mountain Fane went into hiding. Their last known location: a place within the mountains known as Yaegdra.
• These druids, with knowledge provided by Volenta (a bride of Strahd) have stolen from the winery a green gem imbued with the power of the ladies three, and plan to use it in a ritual to bring to life a creature known as Winter Splinter.
• His spear can be found on Yester Hill, he named the party worthy and tells them it is theirs to claim.
