Khoudmik Barrelbasher, born on the 23rd of Quinuary, 266, belonged to a clan of hill dwarves nestled deep within the craggy peaks of Kaladrum. Right from a tender age, Khoudmik displayed a mischievous spirit that set him apart from his more traditional kin. While fellow dwarves dedicated themselves to craftsmanship and trade, Khoudmik was irresistibly drawn to the tales of tricksters and rogues. He would often slip away from the clanhold to explore the wild forests, where he learned the arts of stealth and cunning from the creatures that dwelled there.
As Khoudmik matured, his fascination with trickery only deepened. He delved into the world of deception and illusion, honing his skills in hidden alcoves within the clanhold. His talents did not go unnoticed by Dolos, the deity of trickery and deceit, who saw great potential in the young dwarf. Dolos chose to bless Khoudmik with divine abilities, marking him as a cleric of the Trickery Domain and engraving his emblem onto Khoudmik’s shield.
The urge to become a pirate was born from Khoudmik’s insatiable thirst for adventure and the desire to test the limits of his newfound powers. He yearned for a life beyond the confines of the mountains, where he could put his skills to the test on the high seas. The tales of daring pirates and the allure of hidden treasures filled his dreams, promising a life of excitement and danger that the clanhold could never provide.
Khoudmik’s destiny took a pivotal turn when he joined the crew of “The Pegasus” on the 26th of Quarternanuary, 333, a few years before becoming an active participant in their adventures. He took over the roles of the previous medic and quartermaster, Marlin Valecor, a position that allowed him to both care for his crewmates and ensure the ship was well-stocked and maintained.
Khoudmik, being the sole follower of Dolos among the crew, continued to offer prayers and tributes to his god as the crew embraced the thrilling life of piracy. Through daring heists and narrow escapes, Khoudmik and his companions proved that even the most unexpected heroes can make their mark on the world. As he sailed the high seas, Khoudmik knew that he had found the adventure he had always yearned for, and the chance to live the life of a true trickster in the grandest of stages.
