After a night at a tavern, the party (now with Audax) left to return to the ship. However, they encountered a strange clearing in which the infamous Lord Mann stepped out of a rock. He insulted the party and claimed they were there to overthrow him. He went to leave but Flynt grabbed his attention by throwing a dagger at him. The Lord summoned a medieval gas grenade that put Zorroth and Grace to sleep. The rest battled him and when he turned to leave, Audax landed a powerful blow that stopped Mann in his tracks. They landed a couple more hits before the Lord blinked out of combat.
