The Black Viper

A famed highwayman, the Black Viper robbed banks and stagecoaches generations ago in the area around Waterdeep. Recently, rumors of a new Black Viper robbing nobles out drinking in Waterdeep began to be heard in the city.

Many question whether this could be the same dangerous masked thief, and some say it must be the Viper’s spirit back for revenge. Whatever the truth, the Viper’s recent spree of muggings and break-ins have prompted many nobles to be on their guard when travelling after sundown.
