Zale
Zuhfura's Servant
Background
Born as an orphan and raised amidst pirates, Zale embodies an unexpectedly refined demeanor. He consistently avoids physical conflict, opting instead to strike from the shadows. His skills lean more towards resolving conflicts verbally than resorting to physical altercations. Climbing the ranks within the pirate crew, he garners respect for his clever way with words and mischievous problem-solving.
As the years pass, Zale’s patience with his captain, a brutal and power-hungry leader driven solely by avarice, wears thin. The captain’s reckless decisions consistently imperil the crew’s safety, and his ruthlessness knows no bounds. Despite these challenges, Zale’s loyalty to the crew.
However, fate takes a dramatic turn when a raid goes wrong. Blinded by rage, the captain accuses Zale of treachery and abandons him on a desolate island with certain death looming.
This “island,” if it can even be called that, spans a mere 20 feet in width—a solitary patch of land adrift in a sea of blue emptiness. Zale resigns himself to an impending demise until an otherworldly voice reaches him in his dreams. A deep, feminine voice reverberates: “Faruk seeyt goba Drian-kha-lamogh.” In a nightmarish vision, a grotesque tentacle slithers from the shore, dragging Zale underwater. Amidst the depths, the voice proclaims, “For the sins of generations to be… I promise my power to thee… But carry the mark of the sea… For I am the daughter of Sherii…”
Zale awakens, ensnared within a net, captured by fishermen near the shores of Cestiones, an imperial port city.
Appearance
Standing before you, Zale presents a race that might be mistaken for that of a Drow or Water Genasi, but in truth, he is an Aasimar. His eyes are striking, a pure white gaze. An aura of ocean essence trails him wherever he treads, and it’s rare to find him completely free of the sea’s touch. He appears to be around 23 years of age, moving gracefully, as if in water, he navigates his surroundings.
