THREAD #1 MISSING CONTEXT

First Steps as a New Mare (Nuna 7)
- You achieved consciousness, missing all your memories. You only have some vague recollections of your past like you believed you were once a Thief.
- You had a vivid dream where you saw dozens of petrified/crystallized ponies frozen in poses of distress in a lake. A mysterious Dream Mare spoke to you and told you to seek out Citizenship from Carcasse.
- You woke up finding yourself strapped to a stone slab table and covered in blood and ritual marking (also out of blood). You spot bone chains wrapping around your limbs that seemed to rot and decay away.
- You were immediately greeted by Chemtrail who seemed to initially see you as hostile. After nearly killing you though by punching your stone slab that cracked it into 5 pieces, you were able to convince them that you weren’t an threat.
- After explaining your vague desire to become a Citizen, she decided to take to you The Kuvava to be processed and let them decide on your fate.
- While navigating the treacherous landscape of The Heart you accidentally stumbled upon Chalk Dust, who happened to be on a little excursion with other members of The Kuvava (some albino animal masked fillies).
- Chalk explained she could sense that you once had Ambrosia inside of you, that you were once a Mutant, and that she believed you should go through the usual citizenship process with the Recollectors. She didn’t seem to know who you were beyond that, but she also commented that the Ritual Markings painted on you were for a Suspended Animation ritual. However, the markings were done very poorly and likely not by seasoned cultists.
- Arriving at The Polymath Chemtrail left your company and you headed toward The Recollector’s base. Chemtrail left you with one piece of advice though: You should ask to see Interest Rate as she would give you an expedited path to citizenship by sponsoring you.
- Once you arrived you immediately ran into Lovesick who was manning the front desk. Once you said you wanted to see Interest Rate, she immediately went to confront her with you. Apparently, Interest has been abusing her position and having ponies become indebted to her for expedited Citizenship. The alternative is that you sit in jail for months until it’s all ready.
- Lovesick instead proposed another idea: That you would become a Paracop, one of the many in the Freelance Police force of the city, but answer to The Kuvava and The Recollectors secretly. You agreed to this enthusiastically, but they did mention that something terrible happened to your predecessors that resulted in them being killed.
- Ignoring the danger, you were set up with the essentials and chose an Apartment in The Palatine. You were given a Revolver and a bar of golden Ambrosia as well.
- However before they let you go, you had to undergo a Memory Scan to ensure your amnesia story matched up. The two Recollectors took you down to visit Memory Leak.
- Memory acted very erratic towards you, immediately propositioning you for a date. When she scanned your memory, you suddenly forgot all about your Dream with the masked mare. Memory then said you were in the clear, however Interest and Lovesick found the entire thing odd.
- Finally, to help make your cover story seem more authentic, you agreed to actually become indebted to Interest. She decided you could figure out how to repay this later.
- You were escorted out of the Polymath and then took a train to your new home at the Forbidden Palace in The Palatine. You decided to immediately take your bar of Ambrosia and began to have an intense hallucinatory experience that lasted the entire rest of the day.
First Day on the Beat (Nuna 8)
- You awoke after your intense experience with Ambrosia, finding yourself changed into a Mutant.
- You agreed to a date yesterday with Memory Leak, which you’ve just inadvertently missed due to tripping balls, so you called The Recollectors to leave a message and apologize for ghosting her. Blue Monday picked up and delivered the message to her but for now you didn’t hear anything back.
- You decided to head to the local Paralegal Guild to look for work. Out of several options you decided to pick CASE #1: LOST LAMB which at first seemed just like a simple case of a rebellious Teenager getting herself in trouble with her parents. It was suggested that you look for a Partner however, someone who could show you the ropes and guide you on being a Paracop.
- Heading to the local Bar known for having Paracops: The 5 Legged Mare, you eventually ended up partnering with a Male Moth Pony named Thimble who was attempting to drown his sorrows in drink. He seemed very bad at doing this though and didn’t like drinking.
- The two of you then took flight to visit your client: Madam Fang. She had an old Gothic style castle in The Palatine.
- While waiting for Madam Fang you caught a glimpse of her daughter, and the target of your case, ‘Gay Pride’ (or Calea). She ended up taking note of what you two looked like.
- Madam Fang took you into a private chamber where you could speak without Calea eavesdropping. After some prodding, Madam Fang revealed the real reason she opened the case: She believes that Calea had gotten herself involved with a “Political Cult” called ‘Imminent Critique’ that were smuggling Ambrosia out of Carcasse towards other Equestrias.
- It turns out this is SUPER ILLEGAL and if any of this came to light Calea probably would get imprisoned for life. Or worse.
- Unfortunately, Madam Fang only found out all of this from snooping in Calea’s diary and she has no other leads. She apparently has still been dutifully attending classes at her private highschool: St. Canes Academy. The School wouldn’t be fond of you snooping on it’s students and Calea already saw what you two looked like, so you needed to sneak into the school somehow and avoid Calea seeing you two.
- With the help of Thimble’s plush weaboo super nerd Silvy, you instead got a new idea: To enlist the help of a so called Body Shop to transform yourself into a Teenager. Thimble assisted in finding a reputable Body Shop and Madam Fang agreed to help get you enrolled and provide a cover story for your sudden arrival at the school.
- After arriving to the Body Shop and scheduling your appointment for tomorrow, you discussed the case in detail with Thimble. Importantly, he proposed that Imminent Critique must have the assistance of a Wayfinder who helps them smuggle Ambrosia between worlds.
- With everything set for your plan, you headed home and checked your answering machine. You got two messages: One from Blue Monday who said that Memory Leak was waiting for you at a coffee shop, and one from Lovesick who said she just got your Citizenship Rituals schedule sometime in 2 weeks.
- You visited Memory Leak who told you she wiped your memory of that Dream Mare to protect you. She said that if anyone saw you had a Dream that involved them you would’ve been arrested.
- She offered to give the memory back to you now and then end the date. She revealed that she knew who you used to be back before your Amnesia, but that she didn’t want to bring it up and that you should move on with your life. You tried to push her to continue the date or elaborate but this resulted in her lashing out at you and nearly making a scene.
- You managed to salvage the situation by convincing her you don’t want to talk about your past, and that you wish to start over fresh with her. It was agreed upon that she would contact you for another Date at a later unspecified time.
- You headed back home after buying some groceries. You decided to make Jello Molds for all your neighbors. Most of them seemed very weird although one turned out to be Gumdrop, a Paracop you seen at the 5 Legged Mare earlier in the day.
- You talked for a bit, she turned down the offer of Jello but seemed open to you cooking something else with her. She seemed friendly but a bit closed off. After that, you headed to bed early since your Appointment tomorrow was very early in the morning.
Barbarism Begins at Home (Nuna 9~)
- You headed to your Appointment with Thimble at the Body Shop. You agreed that you should come up with entirely new disguises that looked nothing like your normal selves. You also convinced Thimble that he should genderswap himself like you were going to do.
- You turned yourself into a SHORT KING Pegasus colt named Ace Thrust, complete with a suggestive Bottle Rocket shooting up as a CM.
- Thimble turned himself into a SLENDER and SKINNY Flutter pony with wide rimmed glasses named Ashen Skies. He also re-contextualized his mutation as having paper wings that he could turn into Origami.
- Unfortunately for you, you forgot to tell the Body Shop how your mutation works or suggest a ‘transformed’ mutation so instead he just gave you a thick highlander coat that has made your mutation seem a lot more clumsy.
- The Transformation was a full physical transformation, down to the insides, and the both of you started to slowly have mental effects from this over the course of the day.
- You headed toward the Evergreen Mansion - Friends of Madam Fang who would be providing you a cover story - and left some contraband and other items in your room before heading to school
- Thimble used his mutation to create 2 Psychic Keychains that would allow the two of you to mentally pass messages and images to each other without speaking.
- You ended up getting into a fight (although you didn’t throw any punches, just provoked them to attack) with another colt first thing as you arrived at school. You ended up being sent to the Guidance Councilor’s office of a certain Dr. Beefheart.
- He gave you a slap on the wrist due to you not trying to excuse your actions, and then told you that he was suspecting that Gay Pride and her Bandmates were up to something: He was able to tell that she was using the Illusion powers of her Bandmate Boiling Point to pretend to be playing music afterschool.
- He subtly hinted that he gave you tacit approval to look into her actions. With that you headed to home room without detention.
- Thimble meanwhile was able to “hit it off” with Calea, seeming to immediately make her smitten with Ashen Skies. It also seemed like as Ashen she was starting to get a crush on Calea as well.
- Your schedules aligned with Calea only in a few places: Debate and Lunch. You decided you were going to see if you could poke Calea’s Brain during Debate.
- At Debate Class, Calea was joined by her 2 Bandmates: Mutual Exchange and Boiling Point. The topic of the Debate was ‘Is there such thing as justified War or Violence?’ which turned out to be a topic that the 3 wannabe-communists were extremely passionate about.
- The Band took the side of Pro-Violence, you went with Anti-Violence along with Ashen Skies.
- Calea was rather calm during the debate, despite the reputation painted by the other Classmates. However, Mutual Exchange ended up becoming the powder keg. Ashen reveals (or more like you pieced together) that Mutual Exchange has an unrequited crush on ‘Gay Pride’ and was extremely jealous of her.
- You decided to let Ashen Skies take up the debate to set Mutual Exchange off. As expected, they blew up and started screaming at Ashen.
- Calea stepped in to try and calm Mutual down and this nearly started a fight between the two. Tensions got heated, everyone in the room started ducking behind cover.
- You reached out to Calea to calm her down. Realizing how bad they look Calea’s crack in her skull began to glow and…
X
- …She kissed Mutual to calm them down.
- Despite the odd gesture, it seemed to have worked and the two began to calm down. You continued the debate without issue. During this entire time you noticed that Calea had her Left Eye closed, but otherwise nothing seemed amiss…
Y
- …She suddenly headbutted Mutual!
- The 3 Bandmates began to loudly argue, openly speaking about their involvement with Imminent Critique and the fact that they’re extremely worried that they’re about to be caught. During this argument, it was revealed that Calea is the Wayfinder of the group.
- Calea’s Right Eye was an empty socket spewing out bile.
- Due to their odd behavior and seeming disregard for their bodies (or you), you began to piece together what was happening: Calea’s mutation split the timeline and you were in a Timeline that was due for destruction.
- Calea then approached you too and tried to ask the both of you to join her group. She revealed that she used many many splits when speaking with ‘Ashen Skies’ earlier in the day. During one of these splits, Thimble accidentally started talking about their real past. They luckily made it fit their Ashen Skies persona, so your cover was not blown, but it seemed even bringing this up made Thimble start to shut down from trauma.
- You told the Band about how Dr. Beefheart suspected them. This caused them to start panicking, realizing that they’re even closer to being caught than they thought. They decided they needed to involve you 2 in their group, one way or another, and openly began to plot this.
- It became clear that this timeline would not be the chosen one.
- You managed to get Silvy to send a 5 word message to the ‘real’ you: ‘Calea Wayfinder, Knows Deathwish Nocturnum’
- Everything then went black as the world began to collapse…
X WAS CHOSEN:
- Calea opened her Left eye and you now have no memory of what happened in Timeline Y.
- However, you received the 5 word message from the other timeline, informing you about Calea being a Wayfinder and that she knows Thimble’s past.
- Class ends and at Lunch you are both invited by Calea to meet them in a private room.
- The Plush Keychain Silvy confirms to you they can only send 5 word messages between timelines for now, but if Thimble ‘upgraded’ her she could do more.
- Once you arrive, Calea immediately offers the both of you to join her band.
- Missing what happened in Timeline Y, you are unaware of their motivations or plans…Or how Calea’s power work.
