The group discovers a secret entrance leading down deep into the ground. After some traps that the group got past, they discover Gertrude’s dwelling. Gertrude tells them to drink a concoction which puts them in a trance where they are shown about the evil corrupting the swamp. They see that evil comes from Herath. They are initiated into the coven officially by Gertrude and told they must sever the evil from Herath so that the swamp may heal.
