The Tower reversed represents Casmos’s entrenched belief that Hekate, his Lady of the Moon who bestowed magical visions and blessings upon him, is one and the exact same with the more benevolent figure Selûne, who is mainly venerated in this temple in Waterdeep. His foundational spiritual perspective seems to resists any contradictions.

Obstacle

Despite his certainties, The Fool indicates there is an innocence or naivete in Casmos’s presently narrow cosmology that is creating an obstacle. This lack of a beginner’s mind keeps him from seeing emerging evidence that Hekate and Selûne may not be just two names for the exact same.

Advice

The Lovers suggests that for Casmos to find truth, he must open himself to the possibility of making a sacred choice between divergent paths of devotion. Trying to force syncretism between Hekate and Selûne may no longer be tenable.
