After the lich vanished, the players found themselves in a room filled with elves, a mysterious book, and an ominous altar. Toric quickly ran to town to fetch the female elves who were married to the male elves. Upon returning, the group worked together to free the trapped elves. Alered managed to break the book free from the altar and used an awakening spell within it to restore the elves to their natural state.
With the crisis resolved, the group spent some time shopping. They visited the blacksmith, who indulged them in some gambling due to his addiction, and explored a magic shop for supplies. Seeking transportation to the town of (INSERTTOWNNAMEHERE), they approached Tadhg Coimell. Exhausted from prior events and citing the distance, Tadhg declined but generously offered his horses and cart under the condition that they care for them. The group agreed and set off on their journey.
On the way, they encountered trouble. The cart rolled over what appeared to be a puzzle-like object, which began to break down the wagon wheel. As they stopped to remove it, a non-Newtonian ooze emerged. Borin quickly freed the horses and fled, while Alered and Toric battled the ooze, chipping away at its health. Borin eventually returned, delivering the final blow to defeat the creature. With their cart broken, they rode the horses the rest of the way to the town.
Upon arrival, the group spoke with the guards and gained entry. After meeting with the town leader, they were asked for assistance:
“Kobolds keep destroying everything for Almost Heroes Day. Can you find them and stop them?”
The group agreed to help. They were escorted by the leader’s secretary to the mines, where they spoke with a miner who directed them to an unused section of the mine. There, Alered discovered a trap, which they carefully dismantled. Proceeding further, they encountered 15 kobolds. A fierce battle ensued, and the group emerged victorious, eliminating the kobolds.
The town leader was immensely grateful and invited them to stay for the upcoming Almost Heroes Day celebrations. For the next few days, all food and festivities would be free of charge as a token of the town’s gratitude.
