Adam
Born to a wealthy merchant, Adam was groomed from a young age to take over the family business one day. Given a higher level of education; reading, writing, manners, mathematics, finances of course, but he was also taught the subtle art of negotiation and the proper form for speaking to those of higher classes. However Adam soon found himself falling madly in love with a girl from a poor family. Adam’s father forbade their love, and warned Adam that he would be disowned should he continue the relationship. However, Adam didn’t listen, and he and his beloved ran away together. Soon afterwards they were married, and a few years became pregnant. Sadly, she died during childbirth; As did the child. Broken by his loss Adam returned home, only to find his younger brother in charge of the family business. He had no interest in welcoming Adam back. The only place that would take Adam in was the Lotus Petal Library, they offered him shelter and food in exchange for work. And in time Adam began to fall in love once more, though this time with the library. Years went on and Adam became an indispensable member of the library. Adam would travel the lands to various lords, nobles, and peasants alike. He traveled to small bookshops, to large libraries full of tomes, and to ruins long forgotten. He brought back both books and funding for the library. When the Library burned Adam was away sequestering a rare tome from Ellesmera.
