Last session, the party quickly dispatched a gargantuan rug of smothering after little battle. Quickly scanning through the area, they realized that there was high-powered magical wards over many of the items in this area.
Through some high rolls and lucky finds, robair and erza were able to break the wards around the podium holding a spellbook, the spellbook itself, and two chests.
Within the chests, the party found neutral robes of the archmage, and a staff of the archmagi. The book was a completed wizard’s spellbook, titled “Elenwen Ancano, Archmagi, and Empress of All”, hosting every wizard spell one could learn.
Having spent most of the day repairing teleportation circles and breaking enchantments, the party long rested for the evening, earning 2 level ups. The party is now level 9.
The party rests, and plans to check the basement for the remnants of project chimera.
