Session #16 May 20, 2022: The Faithful Few traversed through the Labyrinth, using a summoned boar as a springboard to cross over a pit trap. Searching through the Pyramid at the center finding a tapestry carved into the wall. Though no one could read the language describing the events. The images showed a man born under the blood red moon, becoming a powerful fighter standing atop hundreds of bodies. Until defeat, kneeling down before a blood moon and offering prayers to Mogis, amongst a destroyed village. Transformed into a Minotaur to reflect Mogis’ image, before returning to battle. Eventually being surrounded by his own men and thrown into a pit. Exploring deeper into the Pyramid showed three layers below each containing more and more coffins in a more and more decrypted state. See the end for the inscriptions of the coffins. Kalash cast locate object to look for a holy amulet of Keranos which got a ping nearly 1000ft up in the air. Thinking the answer was still inside the temple, Grarak tried to bring down the statue of Mogis in the entryway and succeeded but got the attention and anger of Mogis in the process, a quick fight between everyone and the statue. After which everyone continued to search the Pyramid finding a hidden passage in a coffin leading to the lowest level. Several pillars surround a chained coffin lit by blue fire. The coffin had the chains broken and the lid left ajar and a rope ladder led down a pit under the coffin. Kalash cast speak with dead to talk with the skull found in the pit to find out that there is an army being gathered and the the person had died sometime this year and wanted his Captain to be warned of the army. Kalash put the skull in the bag of holding to talk with later. Garak brought the statue fragments to the pit and tossed them in, climbed down with Kalash and cut himself to bleed over the statue. Mogis’ voice returned with anger, Garak showing no respect to Mogis becoming a target of his wrath, before an earthquake prompted an escape from the Pyramid. While Garak was “talking” with Mogis Kalash had sent a message to Keranos to update on their progress and told about Mogis and the floating island that passed overhead. Keranos responded saying he would not help with Mogis but to go to the roof to investigate the floating island. Escaping the Pyramid during the earthquake to the roof where lightning struck granting flight up to the island. In game time 12/10/42 to 12/10/42 (early morning to mid afternoon).
