Session #18 October 7, 2022: The Faithful Few left with a choice, give up the Queen or help her. A quick vote led to the decision to inform Keranos where she was. In a flash of lightning strike she vanished leaving nothing behind but the warning of her quest. Tink foolishly insulted Keranos who then struck him with a bolt of lightning nearly killing him, leaving Tink with a large burn scar across his chest. After healing Tink everyone tried to meditate and learn how to steer the island, and successfully did so. Everyone decided to head to Asphodel to help Seza, though during the trip the island flew over the army of Minotaurs gathering along the river banks. Garak had several bad dreams and an idea, drop the flying island on top of the army. He reached out to Xu through the Sending spell and that night Xu met with him in his dreams. Xu advised against the course of action preaching of the tenets of Kruphix but ultimately left it up to Garak. Talking it over with the group many were in favor till some prayers to everyone’s various gods changed some minds. Though Tink had another idea he was able to drop the island from its flight and it started to plummet to the unsuspecting army below. Quick thinking on Kalash’s part he prayed to Keranos to save them and surprisingly he did. Intervening and teleporting the group to safety at his temple, with Tink at the bottom of the mountain, allowing them a view of the destruction caused. The island fell for four full minutes before impact killing tens of thousands, many of the griffins whose home was now lost, and Tinks Steel Defender who was not teleported to safety. Though the impact was far off it’s effects could be felt through the earth and the sound rang out with the call of death and “no one who saw it could forget it, a foul and awesome display.” In game time 12/11/42 (late morning) to 12/15/42 (afternoon).
