This fortress in the mountains, better known as The Cairn, was where the original home of The Golden Griffins resided, until a strange sickness took over the land, forcing the residence to pack up and abandon the fortress, moving to Caer Callidyrr for the time being until the source of the sickness could be destroyed. This also caused the neighbouring city and seemingly only connection to the outside world Blackstone to shortly become abandoned as well due to the populace worrying for their safety from inside the city. Now, both fortress and city lay in semi-ruin, years later, still with no leads in finding the sickness in sight.
