A handsome and well built man, Alyxian has been speaking to the party through dreams and visions since they found the Jewel of the Three Prayers in a cave outside Ku’ra’tar. The first vision and your connection to Alyxian, seems to have come from touching this amulet the first time. In this first shared dream, you saw Alyxian as a warrior, dressed in leather armor and a tattered red cape, wearing a shield. His face is framed by curly brown hair and bears a melancholic expression. He pleads, “I am imprisoned. Please help me.”

*Suddenly, the ground vanishes beneath your feet, and you fall, tumbling through a vortex of golden light. You fall deeper, deeper, deeper, then suddenly stop. The golden light subsides, and you find yourself suspended in a pitch-black expanse. You feel water buoying you. A vermilion light appears in the distance, illuminating the melancholy warrior, who is shackled to the ground by disgusting strands of a fleshy, crimson substance.

He raises his gaze to the heavens and, sobbing, chokes out, “Moon Weaver, I beg of you. Guide those with the power to save me to the site where first I prayed to you.” He looks around, and his eyes settle on you. “Oh, gods, there you are! My name is Alyxian. I am lost in darkness. Long ago, I prayed to the Change Bringer in the heart of a temple of evil. I beg you, take my jewel and…”

You feel consciousness leaving you, as if the pressure of the water were crushing the life out of you. Alyxian’s voice is the last thing you hear before you pass out. “Save me. Please.”*

Since then, Alyxian has appeared several times in individual dreams. The night after they found the jewel, Applethorn saw Alyxian as a guiding figure, claiming the jewel and with it unlocking the secret of his prophecy and leading him to greatness. But, to Amira, Alyxian appeared standing behind her nemesis, protecting her from Amira’s gunshot and lashing out with power against Amira from a separate ship. The day afterward, Della realized that the screams she heard when opening rifts accidentally seemed to match some heard from Alyxian in these dreams or visions.

As a group, they shared a dream of oppressive, dangerous darkness trying to pull them down, like Alyxian’s chains, only for the Jewel of Three Prayers to shine a light and illuminate items near each of them that pushed back the darkness. Near Amira and Applethorn where the now familiar armor and weapons from the temple beneath the earth. Near Cassie was a staff with a huge ruby red stone, while Katerina was next to a cloak made of shadow itself. Scrum was next to a shield made of pure light and a trident of green and amber appeared next to Della, seemingly saving you all from the darkness.

On your third night in Trostenwald, Amira dreamed of Alyxian, running through an underground tunnel, opressive fear overtaking him as a shadowy, multilimbed creature chased after him: Torog, the Crawling King. Torog made some insult toward the Change Bringer, possibly indicating that Alyxian was seeking her for some reason.

In Rexxentrum, Della couldn’t find information on Alyxian in the Cobalt Soul Stacks, and then she was visited by a dream of Alyxian. Still being chased by the Crawling King, he was pulled into a large room filled with huge crystalline rocks of green, red, and blue hues. Avandra asked if he only prayed to her to save him, but he responded that he would be a powerful and incredible champion for her. His only response to her question that he was already pledged to her “sister” Sehanine was to promise that he could be greater with her.
