The first day in Waterdeep! On this day we zoom in on a very young dwarf named Saga Amberfall. She walks merrily down the street holding her newfound book under her arm. With serious steps she enters the Order of Scribes in the mage quarters. Her mentor Master Tefiri has requested a meeting and she goes in right away. Her first mission, oh man, exciting! She is to accompany a man named Peter Zonnestraal, who is an inventor in the Trade district. His shop The Black TOES is full of whirring and buzzing items. Also prominent are multiple prosthetic legs and arms. He is busy working on a magical hand crossbow which seems to automatically replenish its arrows. Together they meet up with a man named Uru Walun, an old half-orc in the inn the Smiling Succubus in the Dock Ward. For a hefty sum of 25g he tells the odd pair that the location they seek is only known by the sole descendent of the Bandur Clan. A clan of dwarves who lived in the city of which Peter has a map. There was once a strange force under the city, the clan was wiped out by this force and only one made it out. His descendent, named Mans lives in Waterdeep. He frequents the tavern called the The Thirsty Sailor, which is a decrepit old tavern with boarded-up windows and careless repairs. Uru urges them not to go with the two of them, they need muscle.
On the other end of town in a Inn: The Fiery Flagon in the Sea Ward H’arald Fornax (Really, with an ‘ ??), Bear Moonmusk and the jolly halfling Gaige (birthday 20 Eleasis) are having a blast. Bear has just obliterated some poor fellows teeth and Gaige has picked one teeth and is making fang-faces with them to everyones enjoyment. Harald is invited to the party of the century but only needs 500g to enter. To procure this amount of money his friend Kaleik’in knows of a well paying job from the mages guild. They are promised 200g per person to accompany two researchers and help them uncover the secrets of the dungeon.
So through mutual acquaintances of sort the old man and the young dwarf meet up in the Inn: The Swords Rest with the aforementioned trio. Beers are drunk and eventually later that night they go down to the Thirsty Sailor to meet up with Mans. Only to find no one there seems to want to talk to them. Women are not very welcome there and after some bribing, charming, persuasion, intimidating and simply talking to a bunch of dwarves they learn they had simply had to wait for the man to arrive. Mans seems to own the place and wants to earn him some hard coin for his information. With some sly persuasion and a little deception and a upfront payment of the hefty sum of 250g (which he loans from Tefiri at the mage college) Peter learns the location of the now abandoned dwarven city. The following morning Afterwards he goed to the mage court and spends some time with Saga to learn more about the location. Later that day they will meet up with their newfound comrades to make plans for the trip to the dungeon. And later that night Harald has arranged for Bear to fight in an somewhat illegal tavern brawl in the Inn: The Fiery Flagon. Until next week!
