Keraptis
The Wizard Mob-boss
An ancient and powerfull wizard that lived a long time ago in the Neverwinter-region.
Keraptis replaced nobles and wizards with his own puppets.
At one point he claimed one third of all newborns for himself.
No one has heard from him since.
Emerging from the mists of time is the whisper of a name: Keraptis. A wizard of keen intellect and relentless curiosity, his reputation reverberates as a footnote in the annals of arcane history. His name, once known among those who delved into the mysteries of the arcane, is an echo that still persists.
Keraptis was not a prodigy of magic but rather a devotee. His capabilities did not rest on innate talent, but on a tireless pursuit of knowledge and understanding. His achievements stemmed from his unquenchable curiosity and dogged determination, which led him down less-traveled paths of arcane study.
His chosen haven, a fiery core encased within a shell of frost, is a testament to his enigmatic character. Nestled within the labyrinthine veins of a slumbering giant, Keraptis found his refuge, a sanctuary shrouded in riddles and puzzles designed to confound all but the most determined seekers.
Though the world may have turned its back on Keraptis, the shadow of his influence persists, undeterred by the passage of time. His spectral touch is evident on Wave, Whelm, and Blackrazor, legendary weapons whose abrupt absence has rekindled tales of his name. These notes, bearing his mark, serve as a riddle, a summons, a call from an existence teetering on the brink of oblivion.
However, remember this: Keraptis, while no master of magic, was a mastermind of enigmas, a creator of intricate puzzles. His challenges are not merely tests of might but trials for the witty, the intelligent, the brave. With the riddle of his very existence at stake, Keraptis awaits those daring enough to decipher his world and claim his legendary artifacts.
