Duke Zalto was the leader of the Fire Giants. He had a plan to gather and assemble Vonindod, an ancient construct designed to defeat the dragons.

He worked on this plan along his allied wizard, Fudmor (deceased), in the halls of Iron Slag, until Ugress came along and wiped his very existence out of the history books.
