Backstory:
Alastair Hedare
My family, a minor up and coming noble family, whose fortune was made by trading goods, were all about appearencies.
As they pushed they way into nobility circles, they were very mindful of looking the part and fit into their new social status.
I certainly enjoyed the noble-born benefits of luxury, parties and lavish lifestyle, but also was intrigued by some adventure and scoundrel lifestyle, something absolutely unacceptable for my family.
In this curiosity I had some partners; Aasimar, a halfling servant of my house, who in his young days was a bit of a con artist and pickpocket, who taught me a lot of his old days tips and tricks, while also teaching me halfling language so we could talk about taboo things without being scolded by my parents. Aasimar left my family service due to moving back with his family, or so I was told…
Also, I had my childhood best friend, Julien Amcathra, whose family was very wealthy so my parents insisted to spend time with them. Julien and I would spend days in the wilderness, with their ranch animals, and a couple of times he told me stories of how his family owned dragons, and even taught me the basics of draconic tounge, but even after many attempts and asking him, I never got to see them in person. Its been a long time since Ive seen Julian, after some time my parents and their parents stopped seeing each other, and so did Julian and I…
Alexandra Bladesemmer was my teenage love, she was enchanted by my scoundrel ways, maybe so used to noble tranquility, wanting to add some excitement to her life. We enjoyed going to high end parties together, and I would pickpocket her some gifts from the attendees. After my big fallout with my family I asked her to join me into the wild, but after some hesitation she refused and continued enjoying the high end life.
My big fallout with my family happened after having to endure with all the rumours their social circle started spreading, both about my questionable behaviour but also their businesses performances. I never knew how bad the business situation trully was, or even if it was bad at all, but when confronted by my parents to stop my unacceptable ways that were bringing shame to our house, I told them they wouldn’t have to worry about it, turned away and never looked back.
Lastly, one of my dearest young memories, is Rocky, my pet raccoon who was trained to pickpocket and was my adventure companion, until my parents
told he had escaped and I never saw him again…
