Lady Watcher‘s speech in the center of town:

*Citizens of Vallaki,

Today, we stand united in the face of darkness and despair. Our faith in our traditions are shaken, as the dread lord Strahd proves to us now that he can enter our walls without fear. It is true, our beloved home has been tested, and though we have suffered, we are not defeated.

These fiends, minions of Lord Strahd, sought to plunge our town into an eternal night, to drain our hope and our life. But still, we endure. Indeed, in times of adversity, the true strength of a community is revealed. And I am proud to say that I have witnessed the bravery and resilience of our people. From the valiant efforts of our guards to the courage of our ordinary citizens, you have shown that Vallaki is not just a place on a map, but a home built on the indomitable spirit of its people.

We must remember that Vallaki has faced hardship before. And every time, we have emerged stronger, more united, and more determined than ever. Today, I come bearing grave news. In the wake of this attack, Baron Vargas Valakovich and his lady wife, Lydia Petrovna lost their lives. We look on in hope for the survival of his son, Viktor Valakovich, who has not been seen nor his body found. Though our relationships have been strained since the dissolution of his engagement with my daughter Stella, he remains a beacon of hope for this community - a powerful wizard and the last of the Vallakovich. If any of you have any news of Viktor, please let us know.

In the interim, the pillars of your community have banded together and we will rebuild what has been damaged. We will mend our wounds and strengthen our defences. We will honour those who fell and we will stand firm against the encroaching darkness. But we will not forget the lessons we have learned.

Let us remember that our unity is our greatest weapon, and our hope our greatest shield. We must remain vigilant, for the night is long and filled with horrors. As we gather our strength and rebuild, let us also remember the bonds that tie us together as a community. Let us offer our support to our neighbors, our kindness to strangers, and our determination to face the darkness head-on.

Vallaki, we have faced the abyss, and we have not been consumed. We are a beacon of hope in this land of darkness, and we shall continue to shine brightly. Stand tall, citizens of Vallaki, for we are the light that will pierce the shadows, and together, we will prevail.

Itkovian made a failed attempt to bring joy to Lady Watcher.
Investigated the corpses of Lady Lydia, Vargas Vallakovich and Izek. Their wounds are a bit sketchy but we can’t figure out what caused them.
Raided Burgomaster’s Mansion. Found a sketchy cellar.
Wally Wizzbang collected a ton of books.
Tonnin collected a ton of coin.
Brought wine barrels back to Blue Water Inn.
