Pandora spent the day in a haze of unreality, transported to a lake full of blood to speak with her deity, the Raven Queen, on the night of ascension. She was informed that she had to gather her forces and prepare them, with little time before disaster. Pandora was given three answers by her deity.
“I didn’t choose you, you chose me.” (To the question, why did you choose me to be champion?)
“So many ways…go beyond flesh and bone. You shouldn’t care.” (To the question, can I return to my old form?)
“Excellence.” (To the question, what is expected of me as your champion?)
She woke from her communion the next day, and returned to her previous form from before she was reincarnated. She felt ill, and found herself covered in her own blood, irrevocably changed.
