The Legend of Puss in Boots

Part 5
My days seemed numbered, I had suffered an injury that would surely hinder the great Puss in Boots. Or Pib, I should say, as that is what they call me in this land. My past is not known, and I must regain my title as Hero of The People! Alas, I lost something much greater than that, I lost a friend.
Nonetheless, I will elaborate on the perilous events that led to my downfall. This began after the whole arena event, while they tried to contain myself and the crew in the dungeons. A mistake on their part I might add. We had been detained for a couple of days and were prepared to strike. I heard them take a majority of the crew to the showers, where a commotion began, leading to the demon captain using some smoke magic to pass through our cell door. Fortunately, I was able to pick the lock and join them in the fight.
Turns out that the short pirate had taken a guard hostage and the others were fending off some other guards. I was able to slip past and join them in the shower chamber, spotting a weak wall as a potential escape. We broke it down and escaped to the armoury, although no weapon could match the skill of the mighty Pib.
We battled the entire guard and I went ahead to find the pointy-eared man, Grace, and freed him from his cell. This is where things took a turn for the worse. The guard captain confronted us but I swiftly disarmed him, allowing Grace a weapon. But the captain was a scoundrel, drawing a poisoned dagger… and that is the last I saw of that day, my leg… and of Barrelbasher.
Part 6
Things seem to be looking up for the crew and I. Now we had taught that Lord we are not a force to be underestimated, we are able to focus on finding me a replacement leg, and plotting his downfall.
Of course, we have to get me back to the great Hero I am first. The lizard craftsman said he can build a replacement with the right “components”, but we had to obtain them first. I swiftly worked out our location in this world to discover we were across seas from where we had last docked! No matter, this was an issue for another day. We attempted to enter this town of ‘Dwarves’, I believe they called them, but they accused us of being some of those undead that seem to be popping up recently and turned us away. Me?! One of those horrific monstrosities? I think not.
Well, we then moved on to this town called Carherl where they offered to help with my injury. Startled their leader with my voice apparently. The town didn’t have what the lizard needed unfortunately, but I was fitted with a rather unsightly wooden replacement.
We spent the rest of the day fighting of some blade-resistant bears and some strange cross between a bird and a bear, earning us a little owo.
