THE FLINT TRIBUNE:
“The Flare Strikes Again!”
56th Day of Spring, 522 AOV
In the dewy hours of yesterday morning, the Intercity Railway was the most recent target of the infamous fey-terrorcell “The Flare”. Speculations spur as the Chief Inspector of the Royal Homeland Constabulary Stover Delft is yet to make an official statement on the attack, however our journalists report sighting multiple bodies within the wreckage. This increases the count to thirteen attacks since the announcement of the RAS Burning Sky, and as the date of its reveal draws ever closer, we urge our readers to conduct themselves with the utmost care and shrudeness, lest they too shall end up the next victims of this fanatic fey.
In a surprising turn of events, our constables were not left to fight this attack alone. For when the traincart imploded, and the furniture within began reanimating itself, three anonymous heroes stepped up to the plate to help. One eye-witness reports:
“I saw mutton shunters swinging their bats, right, yet none of them seemed to be making much headway, until these three strangers turned up, and beat the furniture to a living pulp.”
However, not all claim these vigilantes as heroes. Nought but last winter, the Chief Inspector himself proclaimed the age of mercenary work to be past, and that the continual support of “unchecked” and “unaccountable” adventuring groups, was a steady sign of antigovermential radicalisation, and that the RHC would not continue supporting such irresponsibility. So the question remains. Is it The Flare who will receive the judicial hammer, or will these three saviors be caught in the crossfire?
