A tool that can determine what kind of magic was or is in the area, and how strong of a signal it can pick up. Does not work well if multiple types of magic are too close to each other, and will give an error message if not of the same magical frequency.

The detection works in a cone up to 5 meters if held still, or as a full room+further area scan if spun in a full loop for the 15 second duration.

To activate it, hold it in the hoof and press the trigger down for at least 15 seconds. Trying to tape the trigger down to keep it activated might work as a passive detection for a short time but will break the device.

Opening lid (Mod by Tightknit):
You can open and close the lid of the device to view the crystals inside the device, they appear to correspond to different magic types, and can be used to determine what kinds of magic are in the area if the detector is picking up too many to avoid an error reading. You may be able to tell which one goes to what kind of magic by observing the inside of the device when operating with a clear singular reading.
