Quick skill check guide
Disco Elysco
Skill checks, whenever active, passive, or anti-passive, are based on a combination of the characters stat and the roll of 2d6 (Remember that partner characters need to make rolls too!).
The difficulty of the check is determined by what the 2d6 would need to roll to hit the target number, not the target number itself.
For example, one character has 2 fortitude, the other has 6 fortitude. Say, if making a check to buck a barricaded door, and the target number to pass the check is 12, the character with a skill of 2 would see this as a difficult check as they would need to roll a 10, 11, or 12, while the character with 6 sees it as a medium check as they can roll a 6-12 and pass.
Trivial (Auto-passes, and thus no longer announced unless due to a buff): 1-2
Easy: 3-4
Medium: 6-8
Difficult: 9-10
Overwhelming: 11-12
Impossible: Even a roll of 12 can’t pass the checks target number as the characters base stats currently are. These are typically things that were options for other possible builds, or things that ought the be re-visited with either a buff or a key piece of equipment or information
