Allamattre - The Cloak of Night
Known for now as All-Mother
A being of calm solitude, Allamattre cares deeply for mortal creations as if they were all her own. Representing the healing power of the heavens, her essence hangs in the night sky as the moon. Just as she pushes and pulls the tides, the material plane pushes and pulls on her, causing her to weaken and strengthen in phases.
Strongest when full, Allamattre’s embrace is said to heal any ailment, calm any mind, erase any scars. Though loving in nature, she does not take kindly to injustice and will empower those who fight righteously to also fight fiercer, her clerics becoming ghosts in the night and eliminating only those who would violently oppose them.
Her order, The All-Mother’s Arms, are mostly feared by those who know of their existence, as their numbers are few and their faith long-since ostracized, but in most recent times have begun to garner a reputation as healers; though they are gravely misunderstood with some peasants going so far as to label them as witches or hags.
As a small community, her Children have always been close-knit until the appearance of a woman, on the night of the lunar eclipse, shining brightly in the sky as though holding the post for All-Mother while she was resting. And when she returned, the woman descended to the earth and declared herself the All-Mother’s Conduit, a gift from above to help lead people back into All-Mother’s embrace and heal all mortals, creating a divine utopia of night where the full moon illuminates all with its cool silver glow. This new information was too far fetched for some, and Children split into two branches of a family tree.
The Conduit and her flock are beloved by the peoples of the countryside. As dark times have been looming, with shadows of war brewing between the displaced dwarves and the peoples of Pelor’s Might, their healing touch has helped many too poor to get aid from the city for the maladies that have been wrecking the countryside. A terrible plague has been spreading, contained only barely by the efforts of the Conduit’s flock. Meanwhile, the original sect have retreated to the sharp peaks of the fangs, where they claim to feel their connection to the All-Mother’s embrace the most strongly.
