The Suns

The Twins refers to the binary suns at the center of the solar system, Hakoma and Levona.

The Religion

Religious practices and access to low-level divine magic are important aspects of life in the Sheffa Expanse. The two principal deities are Levana and Hakoma - twin sisters who personify the two stars (and dualities like death and birth or secrets and proclamations or order and disorder). As well, each minor planet may have its own local ancestor deities or nature spirits. Only the Sisters have their own organized clerics, and only on the largest and richest minor planets. Other minor planets may just have a particularly knowledgeable elder or religious leaders with unrelated day jobs. Regardless, divine magic is the most important source of healing as well as the provision of water on rocky minor planets and the protection of vessels during interplanetary journeys.
