Good Ol’ Fashioned Investigating
On their way home from the Roseburn Estate, the party was shadowed by a pair of guards. The group then piled into Emery‘s house and starting going over the information they gathered, despite failing at acquiring Clarabel’s portrait, they suspected even greater things were happening at the Roseburn Estate. Fergus revealed the papers he had snatched from the office: The Roseburn’s Harvest Reports, The Roseburn’s Worker Compensation Reports, Pesticide Aura Ritual Paper, and Torn out book page about the Scions of Grolantor. Reading through the documents, the party decided to do some investigation by asking some questions to relatives of deceased people on The Roseburn’s Worker Compensation Reports.
Jukli and Fergus took on the task of interviewing the widows by first visiting the widow of Derek Hyden; gaining some information about the death being peculiar, and that Derek seemed to just fade away over the last week of his life. They then asked the widow to visit Emery to see if there are any similarities between her and Derek. Meanwhile, Ranoa and Ralathen stayed at the house and argued with each other about making better decisions, and Ranoa revealed he knew the murderer that broke into Walsh‘s office was an old friend, Bran. Ralathen then inquired with Emery about his father to try to pry any dirt about him while debating about opening the memories he left.
Jukli and Fergus arrived back at the house and convened with the rest of the group when Derek Hyden’s widow arrived shortly after. The widow indicated that Emery isn’t acting exactly like her husband, but that there were some similarities. After she left, Ralathen and crew interviewed Herman about the mysterious deaths and the line of questioning removed the suspicion that was on him and he indicated that his medicines would not help and neither did magical healing at a certain point. Jukli and Fergus went and interviewed the Shouffer family after and came up with a lot of the same information as Hyden’s widow provided.
During the day, the party received a note from Dahlia Roseburn to meet at Annah’s Brew and Stew for dinner and a chat. When the evening came around, the group headed over to Annah’s Brew and Stew and squeezed into a private booth to talk with a somewhat disguised Dahlia. A tepid alliance was negotiated between the party and Dahlia where she shared her suspicion of her husband as well as her contact information. She overheard that the intruder was captured, but doesn’t know where he is being held yet and will contact them when she finds out. She left and let the party eat a feast on her tab.
Later that night, Ralathen was curious and ventured to his father, Jhaeros‘, grave to open up the Bottle of Jhaeros’ Memories. With a deep breath, Ralathen dove into Jhaeros’ Memories.
