Traveling to Gailupp

The party got their things together and headed to Iron Falls‘ docks to charter a ship to Gailupp. Ranoa chatted up a captain loading a shipment and was able to secure free passage in return for labor. On the water, Jukli spotted a unique ship made with exotic wood and black sails in the distance. The captain informed him that those ships have been seen traveling from the south to an island out west and back and that they don’t seem to stop at Virdean Empire ports. The second day, the ship headed into a storm and, with the help of the party, only suffered one lightning strike. While securing the cargo below deck, Ralathen noticed part of a fancy mirror sticking out from underneath the canvas and used it to fix his hair. Later it became apparent that a shadowy mirrored doppelganger of Ralathen had appeared and became hostile towards him. Ralathen fled, above deck and interrogated the captain about the apparent hostile magic item he possessed, but the captain seemed to know nothing of it’s magic properties. The party convinced the captain they had to take care of it to prevent harm and then headed below deck to shatter the mirror. As they huddled around the mirror, the doppelganger appeared again lunging towards Ralathen as Ranoa cast shatter on the mirror. As the mirror shattered, the doppelganger faded into shadow; eliminating the threat aboard the ship. The last day went by without much event as they arrived at Gailupp. Upon pulling into port, Ranoa spotted his father’s boat docked.
