The Engine of Karma
Karma, the sin of repercussion. This sin was always an odd one, as initially it did develop a contract with a man, though this man never particularly displayed the best qualities of the sin. He was of course a judge, one of the most prolific of his era. As a whole his judgment abilities were nothing short of poor, fueled by the corrupt nature of the government his rulings were outlandish and reflected a worse punishment than the crime committed. This seems like an aspect of Karma yes, but the idea of Karma is equal and opposite. Creating worse pain from existing pain did not reinforce this ideal. But nonetheless he was chosen.
