The Gold Gnoll
Tavern
The Tavern’s Tale
The Gold Gnoll is owned by a divorced man and his male business partner. One of the owners is a member of a race that is common for the area, while the other owner’s race is uncommon in the area. Both of the owners are law-abiding citizens with no hidden secrets or notable personality quirks. Before owning the tavern, one of the owners gambled compulsively and won the deed to the tavern in a bet, while the other led a life of adventure. The inspiration for the tavern’s name was an attempt at humor or irony. It is a tavern of comfortable quality, and its main draw is its connection to the criminal underworld.
The Bartender
The bartender at The Gold Gnoll is a young-looking male half-orc who is surprisingly average looking. He is often approachable in disposition. His skin is light green in color, and he has cracked tusks. He has dark hair, worn in a long, wavy style. Physically, he is meaty.
The Clientele
On a typical night, the clientele at The Gold Gnoll can be described as rather unfriendly. On this occasion, there are around twenty other people currently in the tavern. Several patrons are playing a game of darts. A few are drinking heavily, and some others are speaking in hushed tones.
The Accommodations
The rooms for rent at The Gold Gnoll are cramped and clean. There are currently four rooms available for rent. The cost for a night’s stay is 7 sp, 7 cp. If the party spends the night in the tavern, nothing happens during the night and the party wakes up after a night’s rest.
