Session #22 December 16, 2022: With the expeditionary force almost a week away the Faithful Few had some downtime to enjoy Akros. Starting by watching the fights over the weekend, Prodos fought Saturday winning and keeping his undefeated record but not without struggling from his opponents quick flurry of blows. Sunday was Mufassa as well as Kalash’s debut fight in the Arena, Prodos drew lots and by chance Mufassa and Kalash were to fight each other, Garak placed a bet on Kalash to win the fight. And indeed Kalash made quick work of Mufassa with his powerful magic. For the next few days everyone went about various tasks, Scrufflebutt and Stergas worked out in the fields helping with the farms. Garak spoke with a former contact, the owner of the herbalist store, about what has been happening in his former organization, and went shopping for a better sword. Mufassa did some work for the Arena, and Markus was feeling under the weather after being on the road for so long. Things were going well until Wednesday when waking up no shadows were being cast anywhere. Trying to find the meaning of this strange phenomenon the Faithful Few met with the Captain of the Guards to discuss. Between some sending spells to Seza and Xu, Kalash discovered that the night previous the Leader of Asphodel and head of the Church to Heliod was assassinated. The chaos only grew when reports coming in that docile animals were becoming violent. Helping to contain the chaos that ensued the Faithful Few spent the day assisting the few Guards keep order in the polis. Afterward on the morning of Thursday the Faithful Few were awakened by horns blowing in the polis warning of an invading army outside the city. In game time 12/23/42 (afternoon) to 12/28/42 (first thing in the morning).
