Phandalin was originally a simple mining town under the watch of Harbin Wester. He spent a long time hiding inside his home from a dragon before a band of adventurers captured the dragon & tamed it.

They soon ousted Harbin, bought the local tavern & formed The Council Of Phandalin.

Phandalin became a lively small town that welcomed adventurers.

It has an Adventures Shop, run by one of the dwarfs that helped build the hospital, A hospital that will sell potions of healing, a miners exchange where one could sell ore & precious metals, a tavern ran by Thurren.

The town came under attack when Strahd sent his vistani to burn the village down & kill Thurren. they succeeded but Thurren was resurrected. The Council are taking a rest & allowing others to take care of troubles out of town.

The Dwarfs Elbow is the Inn in Phandalin, owned by the The Phandalin Council and ran by Thurren. Known for a lot of bar fights, only some of which are caused by the group.
