60 years ago a lich installed by Netheril ruled the dales. Iona’s father, Owain great grandson of the previous king of the dales, fought back against the lich with a coalition of dalish nobles but was killed during the rebellion. Iona defeated the lich and its remaining forces, uniting the disparate dales under her rule.
