Tales of The Four
Back when The Four walked amongst the mortals of the Tusmórka Realm, the mortals had their own religions. This meant Astrid, Kraka, Eik and Njall travelled the realm as prophets of Silivren, while they also took pleasure in some earthly delights..
Astrid always denied all courting her, however.. she had two daughters. Twin sisters man.. which she had molded from the magma flow below the seas of the Tusmórka Realm. However she deemed them too strong and chaotic, so she tied them to the magma from once they came. The twin sisters were named Dagmar and Dagrun. For ages they were forced to live in the lake of magma below, but the Last King, Knut Ardbeg, had seen them in the fire and grew quite fond of them. Below his hall he build a palace in the magma fields where he courted both and in the end was buried, as to never leave their side. It is said they still guard the palace, and his grave, to this day..
Kraka was once in love with a demon from the abyss. She was impregnated by the demon, who promised to stay and care for the unborn child, but as Kraka gave birth to a new demon; Sjálestjálern, the fathering demon was gone.
Even though the infant demon brought nothing but dismay to the realm, Kraka cared for it. Kept it hidden from the mob and raised it as her own. The fathering demon’s name remains forgotten and the demon child, Sjálestjálern, fled to the stars upon its mothers leave to resume her work as diety. It is now deemed to eternal loneliness..
Eik travelled Vanaheim as a midwife and made the wicker rattle, which he crafted himself, a custom. One of the infants he helped into the world was Snorri, who’s mother died during his birth. Seeing that no father could raise the child, Eik took it upon himself to care for Snorri and did all in his power to create a wholesome childhood. However when Snorri fell into the cauldron of a Vólve, he was enchanted and became not only invulnerable, but immortal as well. Soon after, Eik heard the call of Silivren and Snorri was left behind, with his newly aquired powers.
Njall knew of the other Kingdoms, resting on the realm, but had no means of reaching them. No boats were durable enough to take him there. He became frustrated and began to obsess. He travelled all of Vanaheim in search of wood, sturdy enough to beat the waves and maelstroms, but it was Astrid who shared with him, the secret to his success. Below Vanaheim, in the grottos of the Dark Elves, Astrid had encountered petrified wood..
Towards the end, Njall had converted all Dark Elves to the true faith of The Five. They were the first to bow for Silivren. In collaboration Njall and the Dark Elves built a ship from the petrified wood. However, as the first breeze took hold of the sails, Njall heard the call from Silivren to return. What happened to the ship, is unknown.
