My gods
Firstborn Vasil was the first and the last, summoned by the element of fire.
Vasil, a golden male Leonin with a mane that always appear to be afire, had Ellisyn as a mate.
Pray to the sun. All newborn Leonin must have their placenta burned, to tie them to the material realm. As is tradition.
Firstborn Kehtmet was the second, summoned by the element of earth.
Kehtmet, a golden male Leonin with tribal patterns of amber covering his body, had Marwen as a mate.
Pray to the desert. Dust devils are a good omen.
Firstborn Marwen was the third and summoned by the element of water.
Marwen, a mottled grey female Leonin whom is always depicted with tears streaming down her cheeks, had Kehtmet as a mate.
Pray to the water. Rain is sacred and one may never work during rain.
Firstborn Ellisyn was the fourth and summoned by the element of wind.
Ellisyn, a female Leonin with silver fur and opal eyes, had Vasil as a mate.
Pray to all whom inhabit the skies. Dance during a storm, it will bring you luck.
The four ruled the land, both Mahwenna and Kalaharo, which at the time was called Fenwér. The Firstborns were not just summoned by the elements, but the elements avatars, made to guard the land. They held grand power and could use their element at will. All Firstborns was summoned as Leonin. They were known to be fair towards all races and guarded them just the same.
In what is now Mahwenna, Dragonborn had begun to gather and form cities across the river Hohra. They where proud of their heritage, which had been seen as a curse by other races for long. Dragonborn from all over the realm, gathered in unison and began to form an apartheid in their cities, with themselves as superior.
The Firstborns sensed the Dragonborns will to dominate and began to negotiate, to protect the equality amongst the races, but to no avail. Near the end, the king selected by the Dragonborns, a mage of great power, summoned the ancient dragon Exolmon from the Tusmórka realm, to fight for Dragonborn dominance.
Firstborn Vasil was the last one standing and the one to deal the final blow to the Tusmórka dragon, Exolmon. However the wounds from Exolmon wouldn’t heal. Firstborn Vasil, whom now had bested the Dragonborn mage, offered to split the kingdom of Fenwér, to which the mage now agreed. He then proceded to pass on his task as ruler to his son, which name has been lost through the millennias.
To honour the Firstborns, descendants of the elements and the first Leonin to walk the realm, Leonin now pray to the Firstborns and the elements, from which they came. Their graves were made to move around the land so all could come to pray and tend their temple tombs. However the magic is fading and so is the memory.
The other races of Kalaharo, often know the tale of the Firstborns, but keep their prayers to the elements.
