Pandora
- Pandora, in her time away from the party, overthrew Lustran Zeth and took his place. She’s spent time honing her craft and recruiting talent and magic for the Myriad with the aid of Alyxian the Aboleth. (13th of Cuersaar)
- Pandora struggled with the switch from eladrin to aasimar, especially the shortened life span she was given. (13th of Cuersaar)
- Pandora is eager for the Matron’s approval, despite her hesitation to agree to rejoin the party. (13th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora’ morality has further devolved: she’s courted the aboleth’s temporary loyalty in exchange for fresh corpses, and she tortured a Clasp assassin for information, eventually sending him back to the Clasp with another assassin’s head. She seems especially bloodthirsty, and has taken her role as a Myriad leader (and thus an enemy of the Clasp) seriously. (15th of Cuersaar)
- Pandora leans on Alyxian to maintain her hold on Stilben, to her own detriment. She’s reckless with her own safety, unconcerned with Rodreck’s warning that Alyxian will be her death (after Alyxian attempts to enslave her). (15th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora’s arrogance is one of her greatest flaws; despite having every ability to maintain secrecy, Pandora’s showmanship with death and the Myriad exposes her to threats from the Clasp’s better assassins. She does not properly conceal her identity, and it almost kills her and Rodreck, as well as leading to a near-confrontation with the Clasp when the others arrive in Stilben. (16th of Cuersarr)
- She trusts Rodreck enough to listen to his suggestions and alterations to her plan, something she does not appear to do for many people. (16th of Cuersarr)
- She is very cavalier about death, as evidenced by her nonchalant mentions of them over Paige’s Sendings. It is unclear if this is because of her connection to the Matron, or her own past death. (16th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora treats others as pawns, sending several Myriad initiates out disguised as her with only one returning alive. Dione remarks on this during their conversation, telling her she views death as a queen would, and does not value life the way she once did. (17th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora takes pride in her titles and her city, showing annoyance and anger at the way the party reacts to Stilben and Dione’s insistence that her missions here are “small” and “don’t matter”. Even knowing she has to, she does not want to leave Stilben. She grounds herself in it, which Dione himself questions, stating she could be anywhere but chooses here. (17th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora craves power, and Dione tells the party her and Aida are close to godhood. It is implied that Pandora’s held back by her unwillingness to know herself fully, for reasons unknown. Dione implies she wants to replace the Matron, and she refuses to comment on it. (17th of Cuersarr)
- Dione warns her about power and freedom, two concepts she craves equally: “Power is chains, Pandora, not freedom. You cannot have both. And each time you switch, it hurts you.” Pandora argues that he doesn’t know what he’s speaking of, unwilling to see what he’s trying to tell her. (17th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora is incredibly reactive, lashing out when she’s told things she doesn’t want to hear, as demonstrated by her stabbing Dione. She’s also unwilling to let others be close with her, reacting coldly even while telling her mothers and her ex Kallista to flee Stilben and making the Myriad disperse. (17th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora is unable to watch as the floods overtake Stilben, barely finding satisfaction in the knowledge that most of the Clasp probably drowned. (18th of Cuersarr)
- Despite her best efforts, Pandora is unable to push out the realization that her home has been destroyed, and it fills her with a strange sense of guilt that spirals into doubts. These doubts stack when she thinks of how few deities are on her side, and can’t help but wonder if aligning herself with the Matron was a good call. It is in this moment a being - most likely a Betrayer God - inhabits her familiar, and speaks to her with offers of friendship and a promise of returning when she’s more desparate. Pandora tries to get control of the conversation, but the familiar is able to outmaneuver her with ease, pointing out what she is doing each time she tries. She is left unsettled and wary, and does not tell the others. (18th of Cuersarr)
- Pandora buys the party things as a way to get in their good graces, have a hold over them, and “claim” them. She spends money eagerly, and has no issue dropping as much of it as she deems necessary. (18th of Cuersarr)
- She obtains the Blood Fury Tattoo from Harley, something that reflects her temper in combat well. (18th of Cuersarr)
