A certain amount of backstabbing and double-crossing can be managed in drow society and factions, but too much can undermine an entire community. To keep some semblance of order and to root out traitors, priestesses employ inquisitors. Inquisitors are chosen from the ranks of the priesthood, and their authority is equaled only by that of the drow matron mother of the noble houses. Anyone they decide is at odds with the hierarchy faces painful interrogation and usually an excruciating death.

Twins Phyr and Phyx are always happy to deliver punishment mercilessly on the behalf of Mother Suspiriora, often used to squash any blossoming dissent or early uprising from their slaves. Phyr can summon a Malakbel demon once per day, using it to maintain fear and dismantle drow enemy lines.
