Gundren Rockseeker is a dwarven business man with many and varied interests, but recently happened upon the legendary Wave Echo Cave with his brothers, said to have been lost to near Phandalin. Working with Tharden and Nundro , Gundren decided to recruit help from Neverwinter to help with his new discovery.

Gundren hired a group of adventurers along with his old friend and veteran named Sildar Hallwinter to test their dedication and skill, but on the way to Phandalin he wound up escaping from goblin-folk along the Triboar Trail working for a “King Ghrul“ and Nezznar the Black Spider/Strider and eventually captured by barbarians following the Crimson Storm. After weeks of being held hostage with other captured folks with the intent of being sacrificed to Talos, deity of storms and destruction, the same group he hired before was able to locate and save everyone before they met their demise.

Finally able to reach Phandalin and seemingly start his recovery, the time was short-lived as the town was soon invaded by an army of goblin-folk known as the Cragmaw Crew. During the town assault, he was secretly captured once more by Nezznar the Black Spider/Strider and replaced by a doppelganger. While being impersonated, Grundren was tortured for the whereabouts of Wave Echo Cave, and was taken there upon relinquishing the information. Once more, the group came to Gundren’s rescue and save him and his brothers.

With the events that had transpired in the past month, the Rockseekers have opted to change their business model and take over Barthen’s Provisions and help raise giant goats along with Sildar Hallwinter.
