Phandalin
Phandalin is a modest and architecturally simple town of hard-working frontiers-folk built atop the ruins of the old Phandalin.
Geographically located in the Lost Hills of the Sword Mountains and south of the Neverwinter Wood, it lies northeast of Leilon where the road that runs from the High Road to Triboar faded into a trail. This is a region rich with both natural resources and adventuring opportunities.
Phandalin was originally a farming community notable for its mages and enchanters, eventually leading to its joining of the Phandelver’s Pact [circa 10th century DR] and giving the town access to the Forge of Spells and mining operations in Wave Echo Cave.
By the Year of the Doomguard, 950 DR, Phandalin boasted a large and prospering community of humans, gnomes, and dwarves, and thanks to the wonders brought about by the Forge of Spells and Phandelver’s Pact, they aspired to eclipse the nearby Neverwinter as a beacon of civilization on the Sword Coast North.
