Wall of the Faithless
The Wall of the Faithless stands as a monument to the consequences of spiritual apathy. This towering barrier exists in the Fugue Plane, a realm where souls are judged before passing into the afterlife. The wall itself is a chilling sight to behold, constructed from the very souls of those who, in life, chose not to devote themselves to any deity.
These unfortunate spirits are bound to the wall, their essence merging with the stone, condemned to an eternity of suffering and despair. The wall is a mosaic of torment, with faces of the faithless eternally etched into its surface, their expressions frozen in silent screams and hopeless gazes. The air around the wall is thick with the palpable sorrow of countless souls, a grim reminder of the fate that awaits the uncommitted.
The Wall of the Faithless is not just a physical barrier, but a symbol of the importance of faith and devotion – or at least, that is the story sold to the masses. In actuality, it was a morbid passion project of Myrkul who sought to punish the souls of beings who claimed no patron god.
