Soulvern

A Soulvern is a unique and close relative to the more well-known Wyverns of the fantastical world. Despite its smaller size, this creature possesses a certain mystique all its own. With sinuous grace, it takes the form of a flying serpent adorned with wings and adorned with elegant horns upon its head. Its scales shimmer with an obsidian hue, casting an air of darkness and enigma. As a loyal and devoted pet, a Soulvern exhibits a remarkable ability to gain experience points in tandem with its owner’s well-being. When its owner faces injuries or dangers, the Soulvern absorbs these experiences, strengthening its connection with the one it serves. Yet, it is in times of ultimate sacrifice that the Soulvern reveals its true potential. Upon the demise of its owner, the Soulvern receives a monumental XP boost, its scales taking on an even darker shade. As a symbol of its unwavering loyalty, it adorns itself with the skull of its fallen companion, transforming into a formidable and ominous being known as a Death Wyvern. This transformation marks both a testament to the bond between a Soulvern and its owner and the creature’s undying devotion even beyond the veil of death.
