Bramble was born on the mining planet of Kurdalaegon to parents Barry and Briar Bristleback. He developed a passion for music at a young age, learning to play the lute from his father and subsequently creating a band with several of his peers - with the charismatic Garth as frontman and lead vocalist, Lyla on pan flute and backup vocals, and Briggs on percussion.
