Gold Solidi

Gold Solidi are thick (¼”) and large (1” diameter); they are worth 10 modern gp, but are 10x as heavy as an ordinary gp. The obverse features a bust of the emperor wearing an olive wreath surrounded by the letters of his name; the reverse has an image of the emperor in a chariot pulled by four horses.
