After a few days of waiting in Neverember House, it became clear that Ranear was going to take more time to recover and the house staff were preparing a mutiny, so you decided to follow up on a strange note that Atzlan recieved, delivered via flying snake. This note was an invitation to the Yawning Portal Tavern to meet with Davil Starsong.

Meeting with Davil, you learned he is a Zhentarim agent who was hoping to hire you to journey into The Blue Alley and retrieve a missive from an agent lost there while drunk and bold. You’re welcome to anything in the dungeon as long as the details of the Zhentarim’s plans are returned to him.

You journeyed into the Blue Alley, signing your names into the guest book and recognizing the name of Bartok Fenrir, an aid to the Open Lord of Waterdeep, Laeral Silverhand. His name was crossed off, which doesn’t imply great things.

You braved the dangers of the dungeon and retrieved the Zhentarim information, exploring every room and trap, including one that teleported Mellos to a pocket dimension that looked like the Yawning Portal tavern and required him to solve a puzzle to escape. Upon doing so, he recieved a note from Keiler that congratulated him and said that he should look for the dungeon master at The Market in the Castle Ward.
