Jimlad
Elf Cleric of Tymora
Jimlad is the son of Finn the bard and wood elf Magra Goldspirit. Finn kept a good relationship with Magra, and as a result the boy split his time growing up between the elven forest and Finn’s mansion, formerly of the Potpourri Brothers.
While Finn had quickly put an end to most of the mutant crossbreeding programs going on in the Potpourri lab, he rather unwisely released a few creatures he felt sorry for into the wild. Many disappeared, but some thrived in the local area, and would occasionally trouble the nearby town. Jimlad has a particular dislike for aberrations as a result.
Jim often found himself stealing time away from a home that was a bit too “busy” for his liking, and he started to find himself drawn the local temple. While dad had little time for the gods, mom was devoted to Lady Luck, Tymora. Jim became a follower, then an acolyte. A monastic life wasn’t in the cards, as Finn’s restless spirit seems to be genetic, so Jim wandered, building his knowledge and appreciation for religious practice at temples and libraries all over. He even picked up a bit of arcane skill on the side, including dad’s favourite spell, Thunderwave.
Jimlad has a very good singing voice, and was a featured soloist quite often. He sings hymns from different faiths around the campfire. He also picked up his father’s artistic skills, and found he had a talent for illuminations. This drawing talent became that much more important after that fateful night at the carnival… Unable to write legibly for the past six years now, he has had to rely on pictograms and illustrations as a way of taking notes. His calligraphy is still beautiful. It’s just that no one can read it.
He’s also troubled by this one recurring dream since that night… he is young, and has fallen down a well. A svelte, dark-haired woman with a commanding presence somehow knows he’s down there and comes to his rescue. It’s scary and comforting at the same time.
