Hither
Traveling to Telemy Hill, The Party come across a strangely reflective stream, in which they see visions.
A tall, thin figure wearing a pointy black hat and a hooded black cloak climbs a rickety staircase leading up to a large, ramshackle house built on stilts. As the figure approaches the house, their shadow seems to detach from their body, move across the walls of the house, and crawl through an open window.
Phee recognises the figure as a Darkling, an unseelie fey.
A satyr whistles to himself as he reclines in a metal cage that dangles off the end of a boom over a lake.
Rows upon rows of severed bullywug heads, all impaled on spikes, chatter at each other.
Telemy Hill
The Party are ushered up the hill by an array of Awakened Willow Trees, and find Jingle Jangle in a cozy cave at the summit. She seems to have an obsession with collecting keys, after making a poor deal with a hag. Yndrus heals her after discovering she had been beaten, and her truffles stolen, by the Harengon Brigands. This kindness leads her to willingly give over the Silver Key and offer advice about a guide called Clapperclaw who hangs around Downfall, the home to Bullywugs who she warns have overdeveloped senses of grandeur and intrigue.
On leaving an Awakened Tree hands Phee an Iron Key and whispers “In the attic”.
Slanty Tower
Phee flies up and releases Sir Talavar, who rewards her with his sword and after thanking her profusely flies off to warn the Summer Queen.
Hither
Traveling towards Downfall they are accosted by Mud Mephits, and a fight ensues during which Mellow is severely injured. They decide to head back to Telemy Hill to rest.
Telemy Hill
When asked about houses with attics, Jingle Jangle claims that she knows of two. Bavlorna’s Cottage and a traveling inn, run by a pleasant woman. Showing her the Iron Key gives her a bad feeling, hinting that the key is for a location in the former.
The Party then, with Jingle’s permission, stay overnight.
